Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine to Resume Adult Recreational Baseball League

Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine Department (PRM)is now accepting registration for its popular adult baseball league, which was temporarily paused last year due to COVID-19 precautions. Both in-person and online sign-up options are available.

'We are excited to be able to continue to reopen our city and once again offer adult baseball leagues,' said Mayor Robert Garcia. 'After months of not being able to enjoy sports, competition and fun in-person, Parks, Recreation and Marine's leagues will be a welcome activity for players and spectators across the city.'

Games will be played at various high school fields in the city on Sundays through September 26, 2021. The baseball league registration fee is $480 plus a $70 umpire fee per game. The schedule includes 10 regular season games, along with playoff games for qualifying teams. Individuals must be at least 18 years old to participate in the baseball league. Registration is ongoing. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
