Undergraduate Student Showcase - Call for Submissions

The Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Scholarship Showcase has opened student submissions for spring 2024! The annual student showcase is an in-person event that celebrates the excellent academic work of UAA's undergraduate students. Students are invited to submit and present conference-style posters to UAA faculty judges to compete for a grand prize of $600 in each category. Our categories are listed below, and our website provides students examples of majors that fall under each category.

• Arts and Humanities
• Social Sciences, Business and Education
• Applied Sciences, Health and Engineering
• Natural Sciences

Submissions open on March 29 and close at 11:59 p.m. on April 11. The in-person event is on April 19 from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Students must attend and present at the event to qualify for prizes.

Submissions can be made from the showcase website. Students can also find poster templates, FAQs, projects from previous events, and more details on the website.

We provide students the showcase rubrics on our website so they can know exactly what they will be evaluated on when creating their posters and preparing to present. They should coordinate with their faculty mentor or course instructor as they prepare to make their submissions and when selecting a category and rubric.
