Michigan Advance: White Lake home never lived in by Senate candidate Mike Rogers has been demolished
LANSING - Michigan Advance has reported that Mike Rogers does not currently own a house in Michigan. Rogers purchased a house that "has been demolished, with a new home under construction in its place," and it has "never [been] lived in" by Rogers.

In July 2023, Rogers' team "provided copies of Oakland County permits to plug an onsite well and install a new one at the home, which had undergone $100,000 in renovations prior to its sale," but "as of Tuesday morning, the old house was gone" with "no workers or active construction visible at the time." Rogers' campaign refused to provide a timeline of when Rogers will move into the house that is under major construction.
This new report comes as Rogers has already faced scrutiny for "never actually resid[ing] at the White Lake property" and owning a "4,751-square-foot home in Cape Coral, Fla., valued at $1.7 million" that "was his official residence until his decision to run for U.S. Senate last year." Rogers is "still listed as an active voter in Lee County," Florida, as of Wednesday.
Michigan Democratic Party Spokesperson Sam Chan issued the following statement about Mike Rogers not owning a home in the state:
"After he abandoned Michigan to walk through the revolving door and enrich himself, Mike Rogers is back to run for Senate and keep boosting his own bottom line. Rogers is trying to fool voters about where he lives and his campaign owes Michiganders answers about when he will have a house in Michigan."
