Loyola University New Orleans is proud to announce it has been designated by VIQTORY as a Military Friendly® School, highlighting the institution's commitment to providing sustainable and meaningful education paths for the military community.

Loyola was one of 178 institutions on the Military Friendly® Schools list with a silver rank.

"Receiving this designation is a testament to Loyola's unwavering commitment to providing unparalleled support and resources for our military-affiliated students," said Dr. Xavier Cole, president of Loyola University New Orleans. "We are deeply honored by the recognition, which underscores our dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where veterans, active-duty service members and military spouses and dependents can thrive academically and personally."

In fall 2023, Loyola enrolled 87 military-affiliated students, including 17 veterans, 6 active-duty service members and 64 military dependents.

The Military Friendly® ratings are determined through a thorough evaluation process that includes analyzing both public and proprietary data gathered through an annual survey. Loyola University New Orleans demonstrated its dedication to supporting veterans and service members through its programs and resources.

More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2024-25 survey. Final survey results and ratings were determined by combining each institution's survey scores with the assessment of institutional performance on student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment and loan default rates for all students and specifically for student veterans.

Military Friendly® Schools offers 11 scoring categories: graduate school; large community college; large public; non-traditional; online/vocational; private not offering doctorate/ private offering doctorate; small community college; small public; tier 1 research; and tier 2 research.
