Minister Fitto meets with Swedish Minister for EU Affairs, Jessika Roswall

The Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto, met with the Swedish Minister for EU Affairs, Jessika Roswall, in Stockholm today.
The meeting focused on the programme and priorities of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, with particular regard to the issues of Ukraine, migration, European defence, energy security, the European Union's long-term global competitiveness and enlargement. Minister Fitto and Minister Roswall then focused on the agenda for the next European Council meeting, with particular reference to the external dimension of migration and to strengthening also the long-term competitiveness of the European economy in a way that is compatible with maintaining the integrity of the internal market. During the meeting, the subjects of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan ('NRRP') and Cohesion were also discussed. Minister Fitto reiterated the Italian Government's full support for the Swedish Presidency and the two Ministers agreed to work closely together over the coming months.
