Deputy Permanent Secretary discusses ways to enhance bilateral relations with Oman's Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs

On 30 January 2025, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, welcomed and had a discussion with H.E. Mr. Khalid Hashil Al Muslahi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Issa Abdullah Al-Alawi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Thailand, and Mr. Goanpot Asvinvichit, Honorary Consul of the Sultanate of Oman in Phuket.

Both sides discussed expanding cooperation in various areas, especially with the increasing popularity of Thailand as a medical tourism destination for Omani travellers, as well as ways to further expand cooperation in other areas of mutual interest such as energy and fisheries. They also explored the possibility of convening the 2nd Political Consultation and establishing a Joint Commission at ministerial level in the future.
