On Saturday, April 20, the Main team, led by our newly crowned in-game leader, Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz, will depart for Malta, setting their sights on the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 19.

The 19th season of the ESL Pro League features a $750,000 prize pool and includes some of the top Counter-Strike teams globally.

Our roster, placed in Group A, will face tough competition from teams like FaZe, Virtus.pro, and Eternal Fire.

The opening round face-off against Eternal Fire will be on Tuesday, April 23, at 16:30 CEST.

Group A Teams:

  • Astralis
  • FaZe
  • Virtus.pro
  • Eternal Fire
  • Imperial
  • Fnatic
  • 3DMAX
  • SAW

Coming in hot from their impressive run at IEM Chengdu 2024, where they defeated FaZe and Virtus.pro, dev1ce, and his teammates are keen to build on their demonstrated resilience and strategic insight in China.

Despite a tough 2-1 loss in the semi-finals against Finn "karrigan" Andersen's team, dev1ce proved skeptics wrong throughout the LAN tournament, excelling in his dual role as team captain and star AWPer. Likewise, Martin "stavn" Lund, Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard, and the rest of the squad showcased their prowess and firepower.

32 teams will participate in this significant LAN event in Malta from April 23 to May 12, 2024. The ESL Pro League will feature a Group Stage, a Last Chance Stage, and single-elimination bracket playoffs.

Straube: A perfect opportunity to test our map pool

Sports director Kasper Straube shared his ambitions and goals for the tournament:

"Since returning to Denmark, we've evaluated our performance in Chengdu. We'll train for a few days before heading to GameBox in Herning, then aim to advance from Group A to the playoffs at the ESL Pro League," said Straube.

"The short-term goal is to continue developing and adjusting from event to event. Being part of a new group means constant learning and refining. The ESL Pro League will be a perfect opportunity to test our map pool further and gain official gameplay experience. Despite being in a tough group, we're confident in our ability to advance to the playoffs and set new goals from there," he added.

One thing is certain: the squad is energized and ready to make another strong impression in Malta and seek revenge for their semi-final loss against FaZe.
