Discussions showcased how Marel is helping tackle global food challenges sustainably through innovation in automation and digital solutions. Presentations by management demonstrated how Marel's solutions enable customers to improve yield, reduce food waste and lower their emissions to deliver on their ESG strategies.
CEO Arni Oddur Thordarson and EVP Innovation Anna Kristin Palsdottir presented on how Marel strives to be the digital partner of choice for the food processing industry, and to enable its customers to sustainably maximize value creation by providing the platform for interconnectivity and optimization. Marel digital solutions provide better process management, traceability, and a holistic view of the supply chain, thereby enabling our industry to become more demand-driven and ultimately reduce food waste - the FlexiCut is a great example of this in action and can be viewed in the 2020 Annual report.
