Detectives Working to Identify Woman who Shot at Van Monday Afternoon November 29, 2021

East Precinct detectives are working to identify a woman who Monday at 1:30 p.m. fired shots into a white van on South 5th Street at Woodland Street, striking a 21-year-old man in the arm.

The suspect, a black woman with blonde hair, was a passenger in a black Dodge Intrepid with a temporary tag. She was wearing dark jogging pants with white writing on the left leg and a dark shirt with camouflage sleeves. It appears that the suspect car was chasing the victim's van prior to the shooting. When the van stopped at an intersection, the suspect got out of the Dodge and fired at the van, striking the victim in the arm. The wounded man drove to St. Thomas Midtown where he was treated for a non-life threatening wound.

The Dodge Intrepid was last seen turning eastbound on Fatherland Street from South 5th Street. The motive remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to contact East Investigations at 615-862-7525 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
