This note is about the Global Partnership for Action on Online Gender Based Abuse and Harassment's preliminary review of emerging evidence and research themes.
The Global Partnership for Action on Gender-Based Online Harassment and Abuse (Global Partnership) brings together 12 countries, including the UK, with support from a multi-disciplinary advisory group. The Global Partership works to prioritise, understand, prevent, and address Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV).
The Global Partnership aims to expand and improve access to reliable, comparable data and build the evidence base on TFGBV. As part of this, the Global Partnership commissioned a new report: 'Towards a research agenda for TFGBV: a preliminary landscape analysis'.
The analysis draws on interviews with over 30 global experts and practitioners, and a desk-based evidence review. It describes evidence across core themes including:
It provides an overview of emerging global evidence and highlights research priorities in under-explored areas. It will include Global Partnership commitments that support the preliminary research priorities set out in the report. The preliminary landscape analysis will be published in early summer 2023.
