PHilMech delivers Php395.9M worth of agricultural machines in Isabela

The province of Isabela received a total of Php395.9M worth of agricultural machinery from PHilMech under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Program during the provincial turnover held in Ilagan, Isabela on April 3.

The Regional Executive Director of DA-RFO2 asked the beneficiaries to value the machines given to them, "Pangalagaan po ninyo ang mga pinagkatiwala at ipagkakatiwala pa sa inyong mga machines...hinihiling po namin ang inyong pagpapahalaga."

A total of 45 farmers' Cooperatives and associations (FCAs) and local government units (LGU) benefited from this distribution. Machines delivered include 29 units of walk-behind transplanter, 27 units of recirculating dryer, 25 units of four-wheel tractor, 21 units of rice combine harvester, eight units of riding type transplanter, six units of hand tractor, four units of precision seeder, four units of mobile rice mill, two units of floating tiller, two units of single pass rice mill, and two units of multi-stage rice mill.

PHilMech Director Dr. Dionisio G. Alvindia challenged the beneficiaries to share the machinery grant with other farmers to further the modernization of farming. This machinery distribution is a step forward of Isabela to a food secured and climate resilient province.

PHilMech Director IV Dionisio G. Alvindia led the machinery distribution together with the OIC of Regional Executive Director of DA-RFO2, Dir. Rose Mary G. Aquino, 6th District of Isabela Representative, Hon. Faustino A. Dy V, representative of Sen. Cynthia Villar, Ms. Lizle May Mandac, representative of Isabela Governor, Provincial Agriculturist Marites E. Frogoso, representative of Ilagan City Mayor, Ilagan City Councilor Hon. Jayeveson C. Diaz, Alicia Mayor Atty. Joel Amos Alejandro, City Agriculturist Moises Alamo, and Station Manager of DA-CVRC Rolando Pedro.

Also present in this distribution were the various municipal agriculturists from the province.
