You’re Invited to a Meower Shower

NORFOLK, Va. - Springtime is kitten season at Norfolk Animal Care Center (NACC) and we need your help caring for this cuteness overload. To get ready for all these tiny bundles of joy, we're teaming up with Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center to host a Meower Shower - a baby shower for kittens - on Sunday, April 14, at Afterglow Brewing (2330 Bowdens Ferry Rd.) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This purr-fect, family-friendly party features more than 20 pet-friendly vendors, food, live music, raffles, games, face-painting and of course, kittens.

Attendees can also learn how to foster kittens or nursing moms of kittens. It's a great way to help us keep kittens and their moms healthy and ready for adoption. We're also accepting donations and shower presents, such as kitten formula, bottles, heating pads and more. Shop our wish list to have items delivered directly to the shelter or bring to the event.
