Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4914 Danfield Drive

April 30, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and a man, and the apparent suicide of another man at 4914 Danfield Drive about 7:15 p.m. on Monday (April 29).

The identities of the deceased male, 67, and female, 73, and the deceased male suspect, 23, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Vaughn and R. Waterwall reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call at the residence at the above address after neighbors heard gunshots and saw a male moving a body at the location. Officers arrived and found an unresponsive male and female with gunshot wounds in the backyard of the residence. Officers made entry to the residence and found the suspect unresponsive with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced all three deceased.

A preliminary investigation determined the suspect was a relative of the victims. The shooting appears to be a double homicide/suicide incident.
