Guernsey County: Construction update

State Route 209 (Southgate Bridge) bridge replacement - The project will replace the SR 209 structure approximately 0.10 miles south of U.S. 22/40 in downtown Cambridge. Estimated project completion is September 2024.

  • New impacts: The SR 209 (Southgate Bridge) bridge is closed to traffic for demo and reconstruction. The bridge is expected to be closed for approximately 345 days.

    • Detours:

      State: SSR 209 to I-70 to I-77 to U.S. 40 to SR 209 and reverse

      Local: SR 209 to Jefferson Ave. to U.S. 22/U.S. 40 to SR 209

      SR 209 to Woodlawn Ave. to 11th St. to U.S. 22/U.S. 40 to SR 209
