SPORTS LAW LAB AND CSI TOGETHER FOR THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF "SPORT FOR SUSTAINABILITY AND PEACE"

On the occasion of the International Day of Sport for Sustainability and Peace- "Sport per la Sostenibilità e la Pace", the DiGIES Sports Law Laboratory and the Italian Sports Center - Reggio Calabria section collaborated to organize two seminars dedicated to the pedagogical, social and economic value of sport.

In fact, on the two days of Thursday 04th and Saturday 06th April, the DiGIES will host discussion panels between teachers and experts from the sports world to offer reflection and proposals aimed at enhancing sports practice and related professions in the Calabrian area. The three souls of DiGIES (legal studies, economic studies and human sciences) will offer a multidisciplinary approach and the experiences of the educators and athletes of the CSI-RC will allow us to discover different, often little-known, but very stimulating aspects of the sporting and social reality of the our city: aimed at students and the community, the panels aim to stimulate reflection but also promote action for social inclusion and for the valorization of the territory and the operating realities.

It starts on April 4th, with the seminar "The social and educational value of sport" which will take place, starting at 9.00, in the premises of Lot D of the University Citadel; the meeting will be opened by prof. Cananzi, Director of DiGIES, and by Dr. Mazzini of UNICRI (United Nations Interregional Institute for Research on Crime and Justice) and will see the participation of the coordinators of the degree courses in the pedagogical area (Prof. Priore, Prof. Tescione and Prof. Sammarro) and the panel with the reports of Prof. Sgambelluri, Prof. Busacca and Dr. Ciccù. Furthermore, during the seminar, the new agreements between DiGIES and CSI for students of the degree course in Educational Sciences and the lines of a study path on motor sciences and sports law will be presented.

The appointment for the second seminar is set for Saturday 6 April in the evocative setting of the Sala dello Stretto of Palazzo Zani (DiGIES) for the seminar on "Sport, development and sustainability" which bears the eloquent subtitle "hypotheses to enhance the sustainable tourism in the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria. The seminar, which will begin at 9.00 with greetings from the Presidents of the CONI and CIP Regional Committees and the President of the Regional Observatory on Sport, aims to be a moment of discussion and a sort of laboratory of ideas: the reports will focus on the topic by Prof. Mantovani on nautical tourism, by the lawyer. Costa on the experience of the Giro d'Italia in Calabria, by Dr. Lombardi, Dr. Pizzi and Dr. Palermiti on tourism in Calabria, with the rediscovery of paths and the valorization of natural resources.

The two seminars are the result of the synergy between the DiGIES Sports Law Laboratory and the CSI-RC, and intend to increasingly involve students and the community in a path of rediscovery and valorization of the many natural, inclusive and supportive potentials and also employment, which the local reality, and particularly the local sporting reality, is able to offer.
