Professional Women’s Bowlers...

What: The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB) is pleased to welcome back to Rockford the Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA) for the PWBA Bowlers Journal Rockford Open.

The bowling tournament is a national event with female bowlers competing. Over 60 bowlers will take to the lanes in the individual competition. Bowlers are from several states including Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Tennessee, Michigan, Indiana, Maine, Nevada, California, Delaware, Florida, Ohio, Texas, New York, Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Utah. Several bowlers are visiting from international countries including Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Finland, Ukraine, Singapore, Germany, Poland, and Latvia.

The event will generate more tha 700 room nights at local hotels over the four-day tournament, filled ny bowlers and an additional 200 spectators. The tournament is set to bring an estimated economic impact $68,558 to the Rockford region.

When: Friday, May 10 - Saturday, May 11

Friday, and Saturday will include the qualifying games, held throughout the day.

Where: The Cherry Bowl 7171 Cherryvale N Blvd, Rockford
