BISMARCK, N.D., May 18, 2021 - Sanford Health is now vaccinating patients 12 years of age and older with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the Food and Drug Administration approved the recommendation last week. The authorization allows the Pfizer vaccine to be administered to people 12 to 15 years old.

All patients 12 years old and older are encouraged to schedule an appointment for the COVID vaccine through My Sanford Chart, visiting sanfordhealth.org or by calling the vaccine scheduling hotline at 877-701-0779. Individuals do not have to be Sanford Health patients to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from Sanford.
