This week's NDHSAA Alumni Spotlight shines on Kira Larson, a 2013 graduate of Fargo North High School. Below is a list of accomplishments in Larson's prep and collegiate careers.
Posted 558 kills, 137 blocks, 108 aces, 394 digs her senior season with the Spartans.
Named USA Today North Dakota High School Volleyball Player of the Year (2012)
Named North Dakota High School Volleyball Gatorade Player of the Year (2012)
Named Class A East Region Senior Athlete of the Year (2012).
All-Eastern Dakota Conference Team selection in 2010, 2011, 2012.
Named a North Dakota High School Coaches Association (NDHSCA) All-State First Team honoree in 2010, 2011, 2012.
Named NDHSCA Class A Senior Athlete of the Year in 2012.
Posted 554 kills, 123 blocks, 247 digs and 81 aces her junior season at Fargo North.
Helped the Spartans to three NDHSAA Class A State Tournament appearances (2009, 2010, 2011). Spartans advanced to the state semifinals in 2009 and 2011.
Ranked as the No. 23 player in the country by PrepVolleyball.com as was recruited by NCAA Division I programs.
Named a 2012-13 AVCA Under Armour Second-Team All-American.
Was selected for the 2012 U.S. Women's Junior A2 Volleyball Program roster.
Played at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2013-Redshirt & 2014-Redshirt Freshman).
Named to All-Big Ten Academic Team in 2014
Transferred to University of Missouri and played for the Tigers from 2015-2017
All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) team honoree in 2015 and 2017
American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Southeast All-Region Team honoree in 2015 and 2017
AVCA Southeast All-Region Team Honorable Mention in 2016
Named an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention in 2015.
Named to Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2016 and 2017.
Helped the Tigers to three NCAA National Tournament Appearances (2015, 2016 and 2017).
Helped the Tigers earn SEC co-championship honors in 2016.
Finished her collegiate volleyball career with 901 kills, 287 blocks, 535 digs, and 97 aces.
