NANA Regional Corporation to Thoroughly Review BLM’s Decision to Cease Ambler Access Project Following Latest SEIS Release

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. (NANA) is reviewing the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) decision to halt the Ambler Access Project (AAP) by selecting the "no action alternative" in the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) issued today. We will meticulously evaluate the SEIS to fully understand its findings and implications. We will also remain actively involved in the public process and will continue to fulfill our right and responsibility as an Alaska Native Regional Corporation to be involved in decisions that may impact our lands and region. We expect the Department to fulfill its legal obligations to consult with NANA as one of the Alaska Native Regional Corporation whose lands the proposed AAP action alternatives would cross, between now and issuance of the Record of Decision.
