Missouri Farm Bureau PAC Endorses Jason Smith for U.S. House

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - - Missouri Farm Bureau's Political Action Committee (PAC) has endorsed Jason Smith for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri's 8th Congressional District. Trustees of the Missouri Farm Bureau Southeast Regional Endorsement Committee voted to endorse his candidacy.

"Congressman Smith has been a steadfast supporter of agriculture for southeast and south central Missourians throughout his tenure in Washington, D.C.," said Leon Michel, vice-chairman of the MOFB PAC's Southeast Regional Endorsement Committee. "As chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, he is in an extraordinary position to represent our state and region at one of the highest levels, and we are proud to support his reelection bid."

Smith served four full terms and one partial term in the Missouri House of Representatives before running in a special election for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2013. He won his first reelection campaign and began his first full term in Congress in 2014. Smith has also received the American Farm Bureau Federations' "Friend of Farm Bureau" award following each of his completed terms.

A seventh-generation Missourian and fourth-generation owner of his family's farm, Smith received the MOFB Outstanding Service to Agriculture award in 2022. He is also a past president of the Salem FFA Association.
