The Athena Group expands its distribution network in South America introducing Sportech Brazil

25 March 2024

Alonte (VI), Italy, March 2024. Athena, international group headquartered in Alonte, announces the launch of Sportech Brazil, the group's new distribution company established within Vedamotors, a long-standing partner of Athena since 1998.

With over thirty years of experience, Vedamotors operates in two specific sectors: industry, providing customized technical solutions for manufacturers, and the spare parts market, focusing on the street market. It is this deep-rooted passion for the world of two wheels that gives rise to Sportech, a company which aims to become a key player in distributing international brands in the specific sectors of off-road motorcycles, adventure bikes, and mountain biking, following in the footsteps of Vedamotors.

Sportech embarks on its journey with brands already present in Veda's portfolio: Athena, Get, and Selle Dalla Valle. Furthermore, it announces the distribution of the Leatt brand in the Brazilian market, a leader in manufacturing protections and apparel for off-road bikes and motorcycles.

"We dared to go further, once again and, after a year of great dedication, the project has just come to fruition. With the launch of Sportech, we are diversifying our business, combining sport and high technology." said Raissa Bazzani Felippe, CRO (Chief Relationship Officer) of Vedamotors.

Sportech Brazil represents a milestone in the history of the Athena Group, marking the beginning of a new era in high-quality sports equipment distribution in the Brazilian market.

This launch follows the recent acquisition of Innteck, last November, and signals a new phase in Athena Group's strategic plan to strengthen and expand its distribution power, ensuring a significant presence in key global markets, based on its established experience in Southern Europe and the USA to replicate success in new territories.
