Yerevan and Astana have been declared sister-cities Foreign relations

The agreement on cooperation and becoming sister-cities has been signed between Yerevan and Astana. By the agreement the parties undertake the responsibility to develop cooperation in local self-governance, urban economy management, culture, education and tourism, environment protection, social welfare and healthcare, public transport and the traffic management, as well as business circles and other spheres.
The document was signed by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan and Astana Akim (Mayor) Zhenis Kassymbek.
