City of Sparks to Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for Fire Station 6

Sparks, NV - The City of Sparks will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its newest fire station on May 9 at 4 p.m. The event will be held at 6963 Scheidbar Road in north Sparks where Fire Station 6 is being constructed.

"We are thrilled to begin construction of our newest fire station," said Mayor Ed Lawson. "The Spanish Springs area is seeing tremendous growth, and building our newest fire station in this area will ensure faster emergency response times for the safety of our residents."

The Sparks City Council approved issuing up to $15M in bonds to build and equip Fire Station 6. The new station should take about 18 months to build.
