Developing News: Study looks at Township’s future

Prudent planning is the foundation of Cranberry Township, and those efforts will continue in 2023 with a critical look at the commercial core.

During the December 8 meeting, the Board of Supervisors approved a redevelopment study conducted by czb, LLC, including an economic development update to The Cranberry Plan.

In 2022, the Township received a $50,000 matching grant from DCED to be used toward this study, which will inventory the current conditions, identify best practices, and create an actionable plan for future redevelopment in Cranberry's commercial core. It will help the Township identify strategies for redevelopment and reinvestment before the existing tax base shows signs of economic decline.
