City of Grand Junction and Mesa County Host Mappy Hour for Community

The City of Grand Junction and Mesa Countyare hosting Mappy Hour events for the community to learn about the wealth of information available by accessing Geographic Info Systems (GIS) maps. City and County GIS staff will host two meetings; one in-person on Wed., Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Mesa County Library (Monument Room) 443 N. 6th Street and the other, which is virtual, on Thurs., Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m. Registration for the virtual Mappy Hour is required by going online.

The meetings have been planned for community members to discover the value of GIS maps and learn how to easily access information about parcels of land, property values, parks, businesses, trails, zoning, subdivisions, utilities, and public safety data.

City of Grand Junction and Mesa County GIS experts will also present drawing, printing, 3D viewing, and reporting tools in order to help users more easily navigate these tools.
