The spring matriculation examination begins

The spring matriculation examination begins on Tuesday, March 12, with the mother tongue and literature exam. The exams will continue, depending on the subjects, till April 3. The results of the spring 2024 matriculation examination will be sent to high schools on May 14, 2024.

One of the high-school graduates participating in the examination is Mohamed Hasan of Lumo high school. He will take the advance-syllabus mathematics, Finnish as a second language, and English exams in the spring matriculation examination.

- My favorite subject is mathematics because its language and rules are simple. Last fall, I took the chemistry and English examinations. I will now repeat the English exam because I wasn't satisfied with the grade I got. I will leave the physics and Swedish exams for the next fall."

What has preparing for the matriculation examination been like?

- Studying has been exhausting, regardless of the study vacation, but I have had it under control because I know how to schedule.

Have you come up with ways that make the study work easier?

- Regular and short breaks are the cornerstone of studying.

How do you feel about the coming examination?

- After all, you must have faith in your abilities, since you have studied as much as you possibly can.

Thank you, Mohamed, for the interview and all the best for the matriculation examination!
