Tyler Parks and Rec hiring summer staff

Join the summer fun with Tyler Parks and Recreation as a Seasonal Summer Staff member! Parks and Rec is seeking help with the Glass Recreation Center's Summer Camp, the Summer Playground Program and the Fun Forest Pool.

Playground Leaders and Aides

All positions will start on June 12. The shift is Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Glass Recreation Center. Leaders and Aides for the Summer Playground Program will work Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Emmett J. Scott Park and P.T. Cole Park. The pay rate for all Playground Leaders and Aides is $11 an hour.

Lifeguards

All lifeguards must be available to work during open swim hours, starting May 27 until Aug. 13. The pay rate for Lifeguards is $13 an hour. Lifeguard certification is paid for by Tyler Parks and Recreation if not already obtained. Open swim hours are below:

Wednesdays - Noon to 6 p.m.

Thursdays - Noon to 6 p.m.

Fridays - Noon to 6 p.m.

Saturdays - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sundays - 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
