RMT calls on National Rail Enquiries and Train Operating Companies to ensure accessibility for their website during period of National mourning for Prince Philip

RAIL UNION RMT issued a reminded to the rail industry today of their legal requirement to ensure their websites are accessible for all following their decisions to colour their websites grey during the period of national mourning for Price Philip. This has meant rail passengers and rail workers with disabilities have found the websites unusable and impossible to read.

RMT General Secretary Mick Cash said:

'Whoever has made this decision has little or no consideration for the accessibility of disabled passengers and workers.

'It is vital that the rail industry reverts back to their original website configurations immediately. It is possible to mourn for Prince Phillip without making life even more difficult for disabled people and workers to use our railways.'
