RATCH fosters renewables business in Australia, 2 wind farms reached 10-year private PPA raising steady income, Moving ahead 152-MW solar farm to operation in 2026

Nonthaburi: RATCH Group Public Company Limited reported to the Stock Exchange of Thailand that RATCH-Australia Corporation Limited ("RAC"), the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary in Australia, has entered into a 10-year private power purchase agreement (PPA) with ZEN Energy Retail Pty Limited, an Australia's leading electricity retailer, to distribute 20.6% of the electricity generated by the Collector wind farm and 100% of the Starfish Hill wind farm starting 1st April 2024 onwards.

After the said transaction, the 226.80-MW Collector wind farm located in New South Wales has three off-takers to distribute its all electricity namely; Iberdrola Australia Energy Markets Pty Ltd. (formerly Infigen Energy) at 60%, ALDI Foods Pty Ltd. at 19.4%, and ZEN Energy Retail Pty Limited at 20.6%. Additionally, ZEN Energy will take all electricity of the 33-MW Starfish Hill wind farm located in South Australia.

Miss Choosri Kietkajornkul, Chief Executive Officer of RATCH Group, revealed that RATCH -Australia Corporation Limited (RAC) is the Company's driving force for renewable energy business expansion in Australia. At present, RAC has operated renewable energy generation of 887.69 megawatts. The recent PPA's achievement not only secures steady income but also stabilizes the wind power plant production and efficiency even better.

"RAC is currently developing and constructing total 514 MW renewable power projects. In the meantime, it has been dealing a long-term PPA with business partners who looks for renewable electricity to achieve their greenhouse gas reduction and/or net zero emission goals. To date, the development of a New South Wales-base 152-MW solar power project combined with 81-MW battery energy storage system is ongoing progressively and expects commercial operation in 2026 which consequently strengthens the company's financial stability," Ms. Choosri ended.
