Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the Mission District on May 3

San Gabriel is excited to host its annual Cinco de Mayo Mercado event on Friday, May 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Mission District, with special media sponsor Telemundo52. This celebration promises an exciting evening filled with vibrant festivities for visitors and families to enjoy.

The free outdoor celebration will showcase the rich tapestry of Mexican culture through live entertainment, delectable food, local artisans, kids' activities and more. Attendees can immerse themselves in the festivities with captivating performances by Aztec dancers and Las Chorizeras, an all-female mariachi fusion ensemble.

A selection of food trucks, including Lupita's Tacos, Chano's Tacos, and Rocolini's Snacks, will be serving up delicious culinary delights, complemented by specialty cocktails, sangria, and beer available for purchase at the beer garden hosted by Pez Cantina. Guests are also highly encouraged to check out local food vendors throughout the Mission District.

Attendees can also explore the historic Mission District and discover authentic crafts from local artisans throughout the event.
