Driver Operator Pumper Course - District 7

Dates: Multiple (April, May). Location: Bainbridge Volunteer Fire Department (Bainbridge).

Description:

This course is designed for the firefighter who wishes to advance to the next level of his/her career. The course is designed around classroom lectures and field evolutions covering such activities as relay pumping, foam operations, apparatus maintenance and driving. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to operate a fire department pumper during emergency situations.

Prerequisites for this course: Valid Driver License, 18 years of age, Indiana Resident or an active member of an Indiana Fire Department, and engaged in Fire Suppression, Fire Code Enforcement, Fire Education, teaching fire science or fire investigation. Also have driver operator general certification.

Course will be held on the following dates and times:

  • April 28: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • April 30: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • May 4: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • May 6: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • May 18: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
