KT&G Scholarship Foundation Awards Scholarship Certificates to Ballet Students through the “Cultural Arts Scholarship Program”

On the 20th, the KT&G Scholarship Foundation selected and awarded scholarships to young talents in ballet as part of its initiative to discover and nurture youth in the field of cultural arts.

The "Cultural Arts Scholarship Program" is an excellence-based scholarship initiative by the KT&G Scholarship Foundation aimed at developing young talents into artists who can perform on both domestic and international stages. Since its inception in 2016, the program has provided scholarships and educational opportunities totaling 1.45 billion won to 81 individuals.

This year's ballet scholarship recipients were selected with the collaboration of the Korea Mecenat Association and the Ballet STP Cooperative. The five new scholarship recipients were chosen through recommendations from schools and the World Ballet Education Association, followed by a rigorous evaluation process. The existing 29 scholarship recipients also passed a qualification maintenance review and will continue to receive support. Each scholarship recipient is awarded 5 million won and the opportunity to participate in a 'Master Class' conducted by a ballet master.

A representative from the KT&G Scholarship Foundation stated, "The Cultural Arts Scholarship Program is part of our social contribution efforts to cultivate young talents into active artists on national and international stages. We will continue to show interest and provide various forms of support to help talented individuals realize their dreams."

Since its establishment in 2008, the KT&G Scholarship Foundation has been conducting various scholarship programs both domestically and internationally to support educationally underserved communities and nurture future talents. In partnership with the Korea Mecenat Association, the foundation annually supports scholarships in the arts, contributing to the discovery of young artists. As of the end of last year, the foundation has provided a cumulative 43.5 billion won in scholarship funds, benefiting over 10,000 students.
