Karla Dandavati is the new Manager of the North Garland Library.

• Why did you become a librarian?
  The short answer, I love the library and what it stands for. The long answer, the public library is our great unknown resource and as librarians we are always working on letting our communities know what we have, what we do, and how we can help.
• What is your favorite book and movie?
  Favorite book: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shafer
  Favorite movie: The Italian Job (2003 version)
• What's your favorite part of being a librarian?
  Helping our patrons discover all they can do at the library; from the kids finding a great picture book to our seniors learning how to use a computer.
• What's your favorite sandwich?
  Monte Cristo Sandwich

  Love traveling and discovering new restaurants.
