W. Ganson Street closing to traffic on Monday, April 8 for water connections

Jackson drivers will want to know about a closure on a busy street before the Monday morning commute. W. Ganson Street will be closed between N. West Avenue and N. Wisner Street on Monday, April 8 so crews from the Department of Public Works (DPW) can connect a newly constructed home to the City's water and sewer system.

W. Ganson Street is a busy street on Jackson's north side that connects residential neighborhoods to Jackson's commercial areas. A new single-family home that's being constructed in the 900 block of W. Ganson needs to be connected to the water and sewer system, which means the street needs to be closed for the safety of DPW crews.

The DPW says the closure could last through Tuesday, April 9. Access to businesses and homes will be maintained through the closure. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes around the construction area. Updates about the closure will be posted on the City website and Facebook page.
