The event will occur at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center gym from 5 to 8 p.m.
DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie and Fire Rescue Department will host a Hurricane Expo on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center gymnasium located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road. This free event will offer guests the opportunity to learn more about disaster preparedness and the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane season.
Activities at the expo include:
Guest speaker, Robert Molleda, Warning Coordination Meteorologist from the National Weather Service's Miami/South Florida Forecast Office will be in attendance to present weather-related and safety information.
The purpose of the expo is to raise awareness of the tools and resources available to help our community plan and feel prepared for a storm.
Free parking will be available across Bamford Sports Complex at Davie Pine Island Park located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road. Individuals are encouraged to enter the expo through the side entrance of the Pine Island Multipurpose Center to access the gymnasium.
