Community Risk Mapping and Survey Open

The City of Rochester (City) is updating the City's Comprehensive Surface Water Management Plan (CSWMP) which focuses on building resiliency into the community. The community is invited to share their experiences and thoughts through a Community Risk Mapping application and Community Risk Survey that can be accessed using the following link: https://cswmp-rpu.hub.arcgis.com/pages/get-involved

The Community Risk Mapping application allows residents to share information regarding observed flooding locations along with places of cultural and public significance that may be affected by flood events. The information collected will increase our community's resilience through understanding and addressing flooding issues and the impacts to critical resources.

The Community Risk Survey explores risk through three elements: hazards, exposures, and vulnerabilities. Specifically, input is sought on the specific hazards that affect the City, strengths and vulnerabilities of the community, along with prioritized actions to address these issues.

The community is encouraged to share their thoughts and insights regarding resiliency through the Community Risk Mapping application and Community Risk Survey which will remain open until October 31, 2022. The map and survey can be accessed through the following link: https://cswmp-rpu.hub.arcgis.com/ or from www.rochesterstormwater.com.
