Alen Simonyan Meets with Member of House of Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Shadow Minister on Foreign, Commonwealth and International[...]

The delegation led by the NA President of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan met with the Member of Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Stephen Doughty, Shadow Minister on Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and International Development.

Addressing the Minister, the RA NA President noted that the interest towards South Caucasus is welcoming, adding that he is aware that he keeps in the centre of his attention the situation and the developments in the region.

The RA NA President also expressed his gratitude for the Minister's clear position in the vital issues for Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, for regularly sounding direct statements condemning the actions of Azerbaijan in the Parliament of the United Kingdom, including the blocking of the Lachin Corridor.

At the meeting reference was made the current situation of the South Caucasus, considering the existing security issues as key ones.

The RA NA President gave details on the obstacles caused because of the Lachin crisis. The issue of repatriation of our compatriots being in the Azerbaijani hostage was voiced.
