The WCO conducts a Follow-up Remote Technical Assistance to the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Uzbekistan on Post-Clearance Audit (PCA)

Within the framework of the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP) and as a follow-up to the previous mission conducted in April 2021, the WCO team of experts provided an additional assistance on Post-Clearance Audit to the State Customs Committee (SCC) of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 6 to 8 July.

Organised under the auspices of the WCO Mercator Programme, this mission was designed to keep track of the initial implementation of the Post-Clearance Audit (PCA) by the SCC. During the mission, participants had an opportunity to carry out real-time mock audit exercises in order to understand the practical aspects of on-site audit, and in general, the overall auditing exercise.

At the end of the week, the WCO experts contributed to the increased understanding of the PCA processes and capabilities within the SCC, identified areas of opportunity and further steps to optimise the implementation of PCA in Uzbekistan and provided recommendations to develop a dedicated customs procedure.
