Celestine Jeffreys, Clerk; [email protected]; 920-448-3010
(Green Bay, WI) The Wisconsin Department of Revenue has updated many forms for license holders, namely those businesses selling tobacco or serving/selling alcohol. Similarly they've expanded requirements for temporary liquor licenses, also known as "picnic" licenses.
Temporary licenses are available to non-profit organizations (places of worship, bona fide clubs, chambers of commerce and the like) who host an event at which they'd provide beer and/or wine. Current liquor license holders are not eligible for a temporary license.
The new temporary licenses forms require information on the organization's directors, an appointment of an agent--a person who is responsible for running the liquor portion of the event--and an application period of at least 15 days prior to the event.
Today, the Green Bay Clerk's office sent out information packets to organizations who regularly obtain a temporary license. Please find information and forms on our website https://www.greenbaywi.gov/230/Picnic-Permit.
