The city of military prowess Ryazan hosted the IX corporate hockey tournament of Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The solemn ceremony was opened by Deputy General Director Alexander Egorychev, who noted that there would be no losers in this tournament and congratulated Ryazanenergo on its 44th anniversary. The Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Ryazan Region Vladislav Frolov also greeted the teams and fans. Honoured coach of the USSR and Russia, two-time Olympic champion, seven-time world and European champion Alexander Yakushev became the guest of honour of the event.

On the ice arena in Ryazan, the teams of 11 branches and the team of the trade union organization of Rosseti Centre will fight for the main prize - the Tournament Cup for two days. In total, about 200 people will go to the ice. A newcomer to the tournament was the local team of the ice arena - the Ryazanenergo branch.

"Hockey is one of those sports where victory depends on well-coordinated and hard work of the team. Both on the ice and in our industry, team cohesion and mutual assistance are needed to achieve the goal, so I am sure that the ice hockey teams of power engineers will show themselves to be real professionals on ice," Igor Makovskiy emphasized.

"Sport, as a boost of energy, promotes movement forward, charges with activity, strengthens health and tempers the spirit. Hockey, as a team game, increases this energy tenfold. I'm sure everyone here today will experience it for themselves. I wish the fans a beautiful, powerful game, and the teams only victory and only forward," said Vladislav Frolov.

"The competitive spirit and the desire to win always accompany every player on the ice and every fan in the stands, because hockey is a common passion for both teams and fans. Let's recharge today with this unifying energy and wish the teams a confident victory," stressed Alexander Yakushev.
