The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari following the loss of lives due to a bus crash and a capsizing of a boat in Pakistan, today.

Minister's message reads as follows:

"I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic bus crash in Lasbela district of Balochistan, and the capsizing of a boat in the Tanda Dam Lake, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province today, both of which caused the loss of many lives including several children.

At this time of distress, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in extending our deepest condolences to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Pakistan. Our prayers are with the bereaved families, and we wish for the quick and complete recovery of the injured.

Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration."
