Storm damage/Downed Tree Limbs

During recent inclement weather many citizens experienced damage to trees. The City assisted with removal of much of this debris, however downed limbs remain on many vacant lots. They are easy to spot now because they are dry and have turned brown. If you own a lot with tree damage the City has given you three months (August 1) to remove the debris. Please contact your out-of-town neighbors if you see storm damage on their property and inform them of the need to manage the debris in accordance with City codes. Property owners are now solely responsible for this removal and brush debris can be dropped off at the Reclamation Center. In August, City Code Enforcement will begin to notify owners who have not removed the debris. Noncompliance can result in citation.
