Troopers from SP Lyons charge a 19-year-old male with menacing 2n...

On December 5, 2023, troopers from SP Lyons were dispatched to Water Street in the town of Lyons to assist a citizen with his homeless situation.

Troopers interviewed Jacob W. Bartosch, age 19, who made threatening statements about committing crimes in the presence of law enforcement. It was revealed that Bartosch had received a ride from his uncle to the Department of Social Services. While in the vehicle, Bartosch allegedly threatened his uncle, a 35-year-old male who was driving, with a multi-tool pocket knife while traveling on State Route 31 in the town of Lyons.

Bartosch was arrested for Menacing 2nd (A Misdemeanor) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (A Misdemeanor) and taken to SP Lyons for processing. Bartosch was taken to Wayne County Jail for CAP arraignment.
