Road closures: Avalon, Lower Hutt

Several roads in Avalon, Lower Hutt, are closed while emergency services respond to a property fire.

The fire is at a multi-flat complex in Oxford Street, between Harrison Crescent and Walters Street. Emergency services were called about 10.50am.

Initial indications suggest all occupants have been accounted for, though one person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Motorists in the area should expect delays and use alternative routes if possible.
