MDOT public open house April 24 for M-14/I-96 project between Sheldon and Newburgh roads in Wayne County

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is hosting a public meeting to discuss the upcoming M-14/I-96 rebuilding project in the city of Livonia and Plymouth Township. There will be exhibits displaying project locations and types of work. Interested parties will have the opportunity to meet the design and construction team and learn details about the project.

Project details:
This project includes M-14/I-96 road and bridge work from Sheldon Road to Newburgh Road. Work on this planned $139 million investment is anticipated to begin in early May. The project includes rebuilding the freeway with new concrete pavement from Sheldon Road to Newburgh Road, including the ramps at the M-14/I-96/I-275 interchange. Additionally, the work will include maintenance on 17 bridges and the rebuilding of the I-275 Metro Trail along M-14 from Edward Hines Drive to I-275.
