Joint Hearing on Bonding of Solar, Wind Installations Set for Wednesday

The Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, Chaired by SenatorElder Vogel (R-47) and the Senate Environmental Resources & Energy Committee, Chaired by Senator Gene Yaw (R-23) will hold a joint committee hearing on Wednesday, May 12, to discuss Senate Bill 284 (Bonding of Solar and Wind Installations).

The hearing will be held at 9 a.m. in the Senate Chamber and will be live streamed on the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee webpage and the Environmental Resources & Energy Committee webpage.

Senate Bill 284 charges the Environmental Quality Board with promulgating regulations that establish bonding requirements for project developers who seek to install or operate commercial wind or solar electric generation and other renewable energy facilities in Pennsylvania.
