Bridge Painting Project Begins Today on James Street in Wysox and North Towanda Townships, Bradford County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised a bridge painting project began today on Route 1041 (James Street) in Wysox and North Towanda Townships, Bradford County.

Today, Friday, July 7, 2023, a sub-contractor will begin eradicating lines and painting new lines which will shift traffic, to make room for the contractor to work on the northbound shoulder of the bridge from approximately 0.4 miles northwest of the intersection with Route 6 to the intersection with Route 1043 (Sheshequin Road).

Work will be performed during daylight hours. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions with flagging where work is being performed.

North Star Painting Company is the primary contractor on this $2,189,000 bridge painting project. Work includes bridge painting and other miscellaneous construction on James Street in North Towanda and Wysox Townships, from approximately 0.4 miles northwest of the intersection with Route 6 to the intersection with Sheshequin Road, and Route 6 in West Burlington Township, from approximately 0.5 miles northwest of the intersection with Steam Hollow Drive to 0.8 miles east of the intersection with Route 4013 (Berwick Turnpike Road), all in Bradford County. Work is expected to be completed on this contract in November of 2023.
