Two separate car jacking incidents to note

At 10:29 p.m. on January 13, Eugene Police responded to the 4000 block of W. 11th Avenue. An employee of a nearby business had left his car running in the parking lot to warm it up before leaving for the night. When he came back out he interrupted two people trying to steal it. The victim along with a second employee confronted the would-be car thieves. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and used it to threaten them. The two victims moved away and both suspects fled the scene. Officers searched for the suspects but they were not located. The suspects are described as a tall male wearing dark clothing and a female in her 30s, heavy set, with long hair. EPD case 22-00798

At 2:54 a.m. on January 16, a man reported he was sitting in his vehicle in a store's parking lot in the 3500 block of W. 11th, when two men approached him, opened his door and stole his vehicle at gunpoint. He reported he was hit with another object before the vehicle was taken as well. Eugene Police officers quickly responded, along with a K9 unit. The vehicle was located a few blocks away. EPD searched for suspects and were not able to locate them at this time. The suspects are described as: a white male, in his 30s, about 6'2" tall, with a dark mask; and a white male with short hair.
