SIUE Sponsored Regional Business Competition Toast & Table Grand Opening

The second place winner in the 2023 Illinois Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) for the Metro East at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's Metro East Start-Up Challenge (MESC)is Toast & Table, a retail kitchen supply store and educational cooking space. The women-owned business, founded by Stacy Fangmeyer and Amanda Krause in 2022, will host a grand opening at 227 W 1stSt, Unit B inO'Fallon on Saturday, April 27.

Fangmeyer and Krause designed Toast & Table to feature unique and functional kitchen supplies and gifts for the everyday home cook, as well as to offer hands-on cooking classes.

The founders stated, "The vision is to help friends and families create memories in the kitchen and around the dinner table by informing, inspiring, and equipping home chefs with basic to specialty kitchenware designed for all households."

MESC is an annual regional business plan competition for the purpose of identifying, encouraging and supporting entrepreneurs and business startups across the SBDC's service area.

After its grand opening, Toast & Table will host an official ribbon cutting on May 2.
