The Initial Press Release of Fang Maan Tourist Bus collided with the culvert of National Highway on Kao 52-1 in Renwu District, Kaohsiung City

On March 20th, 2024, at 20:27, a tourist bus operated by Fang Maan Tourist Bus Limited Company collided with the culvert of National Highway No.1 on the eastbound slow traffic lane of the Kao 52-1 in Renwu District, Kaohsiung City. This occurrence caused one fatality on board and another14 passengers sustained injuries.

After receiving the notification, the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) immediately dispatched 3 investigators to the field to gather information in accordance with the procedures for investigating highway occurrences. This event was identified as a highway occurrence in accordance with the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act and the Scope of Major Transportation Occurrence by the TTSB. An official investigation has been launched and the investigation team will continue to gather relevant evidence.
